GENERAL AUDIOLOGY

General audiology includes these services:

  • Complete hearing test
    A hearing assessment to determine if you have hearing loss. The test takes from 45 to 60 minutes.

  • Assessment and treatment for tinnitus, hyperacusis and auditory processing disorders (APDs)
    Audiologists provide care for individuals with tinnitus (ringing in the ears) or hyperacusis, as well as for children and adults with auditory processing disorders. They make recommendations and conduct rehabilitation sessions to help people learn to manage and live with hearing-related issues.
  • Hearing rehabilitation
    Depending on the results of an assessment for hearing issues, audiologists may suggest rehabilitation sessions for a patient, in which they recommend methods and strategies for living well in their sound environment.
