GENERAL AUDIOLOGY

General audiology includes these services:

  • Complete hearing test
    A hearing assessment to determine if you have hearing loss. The test takes from 45 to 60 minutes.

  • Assessment and treatment for tinnitus, hyperacusis and auditory processing disorders (APDs)
    Audiologists provide care for individuals with tinnitus (ringing in the ears) or hyperacusis, as well as for children and adults with auditory processing disorders. They make recommendations and conduct rehabilitation sessions to help people learn to manage and live with hearing-related issues.
  • Rehabilitation in audiology
    Following the evaluation of the hearing problems and depending on the results, audiologist may propose to meet the patient for rehabilitation sessions, in order to identify means and strategies to live well with his sound environment and remain active.
